About Us

The White Dot Solidarity Network

White Dot Solidarity Network (WSN) is a youth peace network based in India that works to create safe, inclusive, and accessible spaces for young leaders across Asia.

“White Dot” refers to safe, inclusive and accessible spaces for young leaders that the network aims to create. It is inspired by “Blue Dots”, which are UN-mandated safe spaces for civilians in conflict zones, where they get assistance and support. WSN aims to create similar safe spaces for young people facing multiple levels of marginalisation and violence. These safe spaces are intended to enable young people to learn, connect, collaborate, and engage with each other across diverse contexts and regions.

WSN works with young people from marginalized communities and regions by providing capacity-building, resources, and opportunities for collaboration. The network supports youth leaders and youth-led collectives in building capacity, sharing knowledge, creating solidarity, and strengthening collective efforts across borders.

Through its work, WSN supports young people to strengthen their leadership, engage with social issues, and contribute to change within their communities.

THEMATIC FOCUS

Our work engages with a range of interconnected social issues that shape the lived realities of young people across the region. These thematic areas inform the network’s programs, collaborations, and learning spaces.

Human Rights

WSN works with young people to engage with issues of rights, inclusion, and access, with a focus on strengthening awareness and enabling participation in processes that impact their communities.

Climate Change

WSN recognises the growing impact of climate change on communities, particularly those already marginalised, and supports youth engagement in conversations and initiatives around climate justice and sustainability.

Gender Justice

Grounded in feminist principles, WSN engages with questions of gender inequality, representation, and inclusion, and supports young people in addressing gendered barriers within their contexts.

Peacebuilding

WSN believes that youths are equal partners and stakeholders in building sustainable peace, prevention and transformation of conflict from participatory process to meaningful engagement beyond mere tokenism.
